Resources & Freebies!

For my first FREEBIE, I wanted to share a fun game that I learned about at BPI last year.  It was perfect for my Pre-K class but actually works all the way up to adults.  I call them “Dancing Spots”. It’s a perfect Movement with Music game or brain break.   You can play it the same way with any age, but the older the group, the more “thinking” you can direct them through.  For example, for Pre-K kids, merely play music and play it much like musical chairs but for older groups, don’t let anyone get out.  Require that they figure out a way so that everyone be connected to the dancing spot.  Let them figure out how they can “connect”.  ;)  (Here’s a hint...if they all can’t literally fit on a dancing spot, touching someone who is on the dancing spot, or touching someone who is touching someone else who is on the dancing spot is being “connected” to that dancing spot...right?! Ah!)
